We are pleased to announce that our offices reopened as at Monday, 22nd June 2020.

Visiting our offices

We have provided our team with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). Although the office has re-opened we don’t want to encourage any unnecessary visits whilst we navigate our way in these early stages. We are still available via phone (01970 625333), email (mail@philipevans.com) or Facebook messenger, should you need to speak to us.

When you visit us, you’ll find the experience a little different – we’ve made some changes following government guidelines to make sure that you can be confident when you see us:-

  • We will be limiting the number of customers in our office to 4 at any one time.
  • Where possible, we ask that appointments are made in advance.
  • Hand sanitiser / antibacterial wipes will be readily available.
  • All touch points will be wiped down after  visits into the office.
  • We have created a zone for our customers when entering the office to ensure a safe distance is maintained.
  • We have also implemented a number of processes to ensure the safety of all in recent weeks e.g. viewings, paperwork etc.

Maintenance / Reporting Faults

We ask that you continue to report all faults or required maintenance via phone or email, including any photos of videos where possible. This will help us identify best course of action to complete the work with minimal disturbance as possible.

We have implemented a recommended set of guidelines for both our tenants and trades which we will provide further details on when trades are required to attend. If you do encounter any emergencies, please contact the office immediately.

Inspections

For the time being, we have taken the decision to suspend all routine inspections. We will however keep this under constant review in line with government guidance.

Viewings

For the time being, we will only be carrying out viewings on vacant properties and will continue to keep this under review. In the first instance, we will carry out a virtual video viewing.

As from the 27th July 2020, as per  the recent government announcement, we are hoping to commence internal viewings on sales properties. for the time being, we will not be carrying out internal viewings on occupied lettings properties. In the first instance, virtual video viewings will take place, prior to any internal viewings.

We can’t wait to see you all in what is the “new normal”. In the meantime, if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Stay safe and look after yourselves.

18th July 2020

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to develop, we wanted to provide an update.

We are sure you will have seen the broadcast by the Prime Minister on Monday evening and are now clear on the restrictions placed on us over the next three weeks, following which a review will take place. For the avoidance of doubt, these restrictions include:-

  • staying at home;
  • only go outside for food, health reasons or work (where this absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home);
  • staying 2 metres (6ft) away from other people; and
  • washing your hands as soon as you get home.

The health and wellbeing of our staff, tenants, landlords and customers remains our paramount concern, and for that reason as per our email last week, our offices have temporarily closed to the public. For the avoidance of doubt, we are no longer carrying out any viewings or inspections during this time, however as far as possible, it is ‘business as usual’.

We are busy working from home and are always contactable by phone (01970 625333), email (mail@philpevans.com) or Facebook messenger.

During this time, non-emergency maintenance will be postponed however please report this to the office as normal and we will do our best endeavours to assist where we can or programme this in once the restrictions have been lifted. If you do however, have an emergency please contact us immediately and we will do all we can to resolve this matter in a timely manner.

We recognise that some of you live alone and/or away from family and that during this period of time you may feel isolated, we would like to re-iterate that you are welcome to contact us. In addition, please maintain regular contact with friends and family using services such as skype, Facetime, WhatsApp which are fantastic ways of staying in touch.

We have also tried to compile a list of some local businesses who are still open and providing deliveries of essentials during this time which may be useful to you. If there are any other businesses that you know of, please let us know and we will add them to our list!

  • Pelican Bakery                  01970 627639
  • Slater’s Bakery                  01970 611 522 / 612658

___________________________________

In light of COVID-19 escalating throughout the UK, we wanted to assure you that it’s very much business as usual here at Philip Evans Estates. However the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, landlords, tenants and customers is our utmost priority. We must do the right thing by the community in which we live and work to mitigate the speed of the cornonavirus as much as possible.

Visiting Our Offices

For the time being we have temporarily closed our offices. We do not want to encourage unnecessary visits into the office however we want to reiterate that we are still available via phone (01970 625333, email (mail@philipevans.com) or via Facebook messenger, should you need to speak to us.

Maintenance/Reporting Faults

We ask you to report all faults or required maintenance via phone or email, including any photos or videos where possible. This will help us identify best course of action to complete the work with minimal disturbance as possible. If required, we can check before with our third party trades people to confirm what precautions they have in place and let you know in advance. If you do encounter any emergencies, please contact the office immediately.

Inspections

During this uncertain time, we will be doing our best to minimise any disruption. We have taken the decision to suspend all routine inspections.

Viewings

Where properties are currently occupied, we will be looking at this on a case by case basis ensuring the necessary precautions are in place and that all parties are happy.

Where properties are vacant, we are making arrangements for alternative viewing arrangements such as via video in the first instance before carrying out any viewings in person. In this instance we have procedures in place to minimise contact and risk for the process. If you are interested in a property, please contact us and we will let you know the procedures in place.

Our Community

If you are currently in self-isolation or if you’re in a vulnerable position we are happy to assist where possible – be this if you are unable to get out to the shops to get the essentials to even a friendly chat on the phone. Needless to say if you are not in a vulnerable position and know of anyone that lives on their own, please help ensure they are ok and have any necessary supplies during this uncertain time.

We also ask that you consider buying from local businesses, as we believe it is necessary to support our local community now, more than ever.
